21st
CENTURY TURBO
|
| |
| AT LAST, A NEW TURBOCHARGER
BOOK
"21st
Century Turbo" is a new kind of super/turbocharger book.
Not just a picture book of megabuck race cars and exotic out-of-reach
technology but 280 plus pages of no-nonsense technical material
written specifically for the backyard mechanics. Good used turbos
are cheap and plentiful, and can be installed on just about any
engine from a 500 cc to 500 cubic inches by any do-it-yourselfer
with average mechanical skills and tools
The book details both Blow-Thru and Draw-Thru Carburetor modifications
(but not fuel injection), poor throttle response, slow spool up,
and cooling the charge in considerable detail. Also included are
exciting new super/turbo developments like compressed air and
C02 cooling (Votex tubes) and Air Amplifiers, belt drive turbos
you can build for small engines, smog pumps, alcohol/water injection
and many other subjects rarely discussed elsewhere. These are
simple, affordable solutions that really work. If you're on a
budget, this is the most "bang per buck" in the performance
world. Unlike other super/turbo books, 21st Century Turbo is constantly
updated with the latest super/turbo tech.
Price $14.95 plus $5.00 shipping.

MOPAR
6/V-8 SUPERCHARGER/TURBOCHARGER BOOK
|
| |
|
This
special edition of our long running 21st Century Turbo Book is
specifically tailored for installing used superchargers and turbocharger
on carbureted Chrysler built 6s and V-8s. Some Chrysler engines
stand
double digit boosts with ease like the Slant 6, while some with
cast cranks, thin cylinder walls and 4 bolts per cylinder must
stick to more conservative 5-6 psi levels. Used superchargers
and turbochargers are easy to find on eBay or in local wrecking
yards, but installing them can be tricky, and a mistake can cost
you big. This is a complicated science where many factors must
be considered and this book covers them like no other publication.
If you've ever considered a blower on a carbureted Mopar 6 or
V-8, the book is jammed with hard to find information that makes
installation easy. It also covers building draw-thru and blow-thru
carb systems in detail and many cheap fixes for super/turbocharger
problems that might crop up.
The price is $14.95 plus $5.00 shipping (priority mail)

SUPERCHARGING
SMALL ENGINES
|
| |
Our
small supercharger project is now in its fourth year. Tens of thousands
of dollars and thousands of hours of building and testing "belt
drive turbos" for use on small engines (limited to 4 cylinder
and smaller engines at this point). This is the first time in history
that a book has been published specifically for installing superchargers
on small engines -- a lot different technology than used on big
V-8s. It doesn't promote multi-thousand dollar "kits"
or one-off race car engines no individual could possibly afford
for everyday use on backyard/recreational vehicles. This is pure
do-it-yourself tech. The book provides basic information we have
acquired and used for decades to install superchargers from scratch
on engines normally skipped over by the mainstream performance industry/hobby.
The book is made up of two major parts -- small belt drive turbos
for 2.5 liter and smaller engines, and the use of used McCulloch
and Paxton superchargers on 2.5 to 5 liter engines (the engines
they were originally designed for). Over two hundred pages of information
from people who have used these blowers for 45 years. This includes
subjects like getting maximum reliability, building your own brackets,
selecting the right intake manifolds, and carburetor modifications
(if required). This book covers both draw-thru and blow-thru carb
applications, but not fuel injection.
"Supercharging Small Engines" is $14.95 plus $5.00 shipping
(US only). |

KAISER/WILLYS
JEEP SUPER/TURBOCHARGER BOOK
|
| |
|
Want
more power from your Kaiser/Willys era Jeep, truck, or wagon?
Here's a new book on supercharging or turbocharging Willys L-head/F-head
4's and 6's, the 225 cid Dauntless V-6, 226 Kaiser L-head Super
Hurricane 6, 230 OHC Tornado, and the 327 cid Vigilante --all
well suited for blowers. Over 250 pages of technical information
written specifically for do-it-yourselfers installing their first
blower. Used Paxton superchargers are readily available on eBay
and elsewhere, and used turbochargers are plentiful for around
$100 at local wrecking yards. The contents of the book are divided
approximately equal between (1) buying and installing Paxton (or
other) superchargers, (2) Buying and installing used turbochargers,
(3) relevant K-W engine information, and (4) carburetor information/modifications.
At $14.95 plus $5.00 shipping, this new K-W book saves you
approximately $10 over buying our previous K-W Jeep book and 21st
Century Turbo book separately.

AMC
JEEP BOOK
|
| |
|
Looking
for more power for your AMC built Jeep, truck or wagon? This is
240 pages of high performance modifications for AMC built 232-258
cu.in. 6s and 304-401 cu V-8s. This technical information is basically
the same as the information carried for decades in our AMC (car)
Engine Book but includes only information relevant to Jeeps with
some additions and updates. It covers modifications including
potential lubrication problems, piston and rod swaps, high performance
cylinder head building including installing big valves/Chevy valve
conversions, engine parts interchanges and engine saving technical
tips. The material was collected over a 30 year period from 500+
issues of the old Total Performance Independents Newsletters and
comes straight from the AMC racers, mechanics, and longtime owners
that knew AMCs best.

|
This
is the fifth generation of the long running Studebaker performance
book dealing exclusively with supercharging and turbocharging
the Studebaker V-8's. It details engine modifications required
